My First AAC 앱을 활용한 중재가 중도·중복장애학생의 물건사기 의사소통행동에 미치는 효과

The Effects of Communication Intervention Using My First AAC Application on Buying Goods of Students with Severe and Multiple Disabilities

배경 및 목적: 본 연구는 My First AAC 앱을 활용한 중재가 중도·중복장애학생의 물건사기 의사소통행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 방법: 본 연구는 기초선, 중재, 유지로 구성되었으며, 4명의 중도·중복장애학생이 참여하였다. 대상 학생의 언어적 특성, 현행 수준을 고려하여 My First AAC 앱의 상징을 재구성하여 의사소통 기능 훈련스크립트 활동에 맞추어 물건사기 의사소통 행동을 실시하였다. 중재 결과는 시각적 분석, 기울기, 중재의 효과(PND, Tau-U) 등을 활용하여 분석하였다. 결과: 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, My First AAC 앱을 활용한 중재 활동이 참여 학생 모두의 물건사기 의사소통 행동을 증가시켰으며, 물건사기 의사소통행동이 유지되었다. 둘째, 중재의 효과 크기는 상당히 크게 측정되었다. 논의 및 결론: 본 연구의 결과들은 중도·중복장애학생에게 스마트기기를 기반으로 한 AAC 앱을 이용한 중재 활동이 지역사회 상점들(편의점, 패스트푸드점)에서 물건사기 의사소통행동을 할 수 있다는 좋은 방안을 제시하였다.

Background & Objectives: This study investigated the effects of communication intervention using My First AAC application on buying goods from students with severe and multiple disabilities. Method: This study used A-B design with maintenance for four students with severe and multiple disabilities. The symbols were selected and reorganized for the participants, respectively. The four participants practiced the communication skills according to the training scripts. The results of the intervention were analyzed using visual analysis, trend, and intervention effects (PND, Tau-U). Results: The results of this study were as follows: First, the intervention using My first AAC app increased communication behaviors, and the effects of the intervention were maintained. Second, the magnitude of the effect of the intervention was fairly large. Conclusion: The findings reveal that intervention using AAC application based on a smart device would be a good choice to improve communication behaviors on buying goods from offour students with severe and multiple disabilities in local stores.
