비구어 발달장애 성인의 의사소통 지원에 대한 평생교육기관 교강사의 인식

Perception of Lifelong Education Institution Teachers on Communication Supports for Non-Verbal People with Developmental Disabilities

배경 및 목적: 이 연구는 발달장애 성인을 지도하는 평생교육기관의 교강사와 기관장을 대상으로 발달장애인의 의사소통을 지원하는 현재의 문제점과 실태를 조사하고 성인기 발달장애인의 성공적 AAC 지원을 위해 개선할 점은 무엇인지를 조사하였다. 연구방법: 발달장애 성인을 지도하는 평생교육기관의 교강사와 기관장 9 명을 대상으로 포커스 그룹 인터뷰와 서면 조사를 실시하였고 이를 질적 분석하였다. 연구결과: 평생교육기관의 교강사 및 기관장은 기관중심 중재를 위해 필요한 AAC 지원 환경 구축이 필요하며, 발달장애인의 AAC 체계 사용에 대한 인식개선 및 지원자 전문성 신장을 위한 노력과 함께 현재 발달장애 성인의 특성을 반영한 AAC 보조기기의 UI 및 디스플레이 개발이 필요하다고 하였다. 결론: 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 발달장애 성인에게 적합한 의사소통 지원을 위한 AAC 기기 및 상징의 특성과 이를 활용하고 중재에 필요한 지원체계에 대해 심도 있게 논의하였다.

Background and Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the current problems and difficulties in terms of developing, disseminating, and using assistive devices to support the communication of adults with developmental disabilities for instructors and directors of lifelong education institutions. Method: A qualitative analysis was conducted by administering an advisory letter and a focus group interview to nine instructors and directors of lifelong education institutions that lead adults with developmental disabilities. Results: During the device development process, there was a demand for instrumental factors and symbols, the development of support in the center, and the development of educational programs so that the tools could be used in the process of dissemination and arbitration. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, we discussed the linkage between school and institution, and the support for device dissemination and use according to the life cycle.
