자폐성장애인을 위한 사회적 상황이야기 AAC앱 개발: 지역사회 이용기술 중심으로

Development of Social Story AAC Application for People with Autism Disorder: Forcusing on Community Use Skills

배경 및 목적: 본 연구는 자폐성장애학생들이 지역사회 환경에서의 사회적 의사소통 기능 향상을 위한 AAC 상징을 활용한 사회적 상황이야기 모바일 애플리케이션을 개발하고 평가하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 애플리케이션 개발을 위하여 교수설계의 기본모형인 분석(Analyze), 설계(Design), 개발(Development), 실행(Implement), 평가(Evaluation) 절차를 따라 진행하였다. 먼저 선행연구와 기존 애플리케이션들을 분석하고 전문가들을 대상으로 애플리케이션에 대한 개발 요구를 파악하였다. 요구 결과를 반영하고 대상자들의 특성을 고려하여 3가지 주제에 따라 4가지 지역사회 하위환경의 사회적 상황이야기를 구성하고, AAC 상징으로 함께 제시하였다. 애플리케이션은 Android 기반으로 개발되었으며, 8명의 특수교사들에게 시범적 사용을 의뢰하였고, 애플리케이션 사용성 평가를 통해 애플리케이션의 질적수준에 대한 피드백을 제공받았다. 개발 결과 지역사회 사회적 상황이야기 애플리케이션은 교육적가치, 콘텐츠 구현 기술, 콘텐츠 정보 및 편의성 영역에서 “매우양호”에 가까운 평가를 얻었으며, 추후 대상자들의 효과적 활용을 위한 애플리케이션의 지속적인 업데이트 및 지원에 대한 부분에 대하여 논의하였다.

Background and Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate a social situation story mobile application for students with autism disorders using AAC symbols to improve social communication function in a community environment. Method: For application development, we followed the basic model procedure of instructional design. First, we identified the application development needs for experts, analyzed the prior research and existing applications, and analyzed the required results. In consideration of the characteristics of the subject, the social situation stories of the four sub-environments of the local community were formulated according to three themes, and the keywords were re-reviewed together as AAC symbols. The application was developed based on Android, and eight special teachers were asked to use it for a trial. Their feedback on the quality level of the application was provided through the application usability evaluation. Results: The community social situation story application was evaluated close to “very good” in the areas of educational value, content implementation technology, content information and convenience. Conclusion: A part of the continuous update and support of the application for the effective use to the target audience will be discussed.
