The aim of this is to investigate objectively the effect of evaluation and treatment for the recovery stage of C.V.A. upper extremity movement function through manual function test(MFT) we applied MFT used in Japan to the subjects. In the occupational therapy room of Hangang Sacred Heart Hospital, for one year, we measured the efficiency of treatment more four times on 16 hemiplegic patients. Normally, they recoverd greatly within 3 on 6 months and about 70% at the fourth testing. More fasten we treatment the patient, more greater the efficiency is. Through MFT for C.V.A. upper extremity movement function, the result of treatment is recorded as numerical. With this score, we can evaluate the effect of treatment and increase the comprehension of patients for the treatment and this norm can make theraphist to make appropriate aim and plan. Also it shorten the period of treatment. In the future, we hope this will be helpful to the studies for the hemiplegic, which is suitable for Korean reality.
