마을교육공동체의 형성과 발달 과정: 부산광역시 대천마을을 중심으로

The Formation and Development Process of Village Educational Community: Focused on Daecheon Village in Busan Metropolitan City

본 연구는 대천마을의 두 갈래 공동체 흐름 중 공동육아협동조합이 교육공동체를 만들어가는 과정을 이해하고자 한다. 부산교육청은 혁신교육지구별 상황에 맞는 지원 방안을 마련해야 하는 상황에서 마을교육공동체가 풀뿌리적으로 형성되는 과정을 이해하는 그 자체는 의미가 크다. 이를 위해 초기 공동육아협동조합원 6명을 대상으로 심층면담 방법을 활용했다. 연구 결과, 공동육아협동조합은 학부모가 겪는 양육의 문제를 주도적으로 해결하는 자발적 공동체이고, 아이의 성장과 관심을 고려하면서 교육공동체를 형성해갔다. 어린이집과 방과후학교의 통합으로 공동의 경험을 가진 마을 주체가 양성되었고, 초등고학년 이상의 학생을 위한 마을학교를 설립하게 된다. 이후 공동육아협동조합은 대천마을의 또 다른 공동체 흐름과 합류하면서 마을교육공동체로 성장했다. 그러나 학원 일정 중심으로 생활하는 아이들이 마을교육에 참여하기 어려운 상황에서 마을에 다양한 교육공간을 만들어 간다. 그 결과, 17개 마을자치단체가 형성되는 등 마을의 삶과 배움이 이어지는 마을교육공동체를 만들어갔다. 이를 바탕으로 어린이집과 방과후교육을 통합한 공동육아 방식이 마을교육 주체의 전략이 될 수 있고, 아이의 성장에 맞는 마을교육의 강화를 위해 마을과 마을의 연대가 필요함을 논의했다.

This study aims to understand the process of creating an educational community by the joint parenting cooperative among the two streams of community in Daecheon Village. Understanding the process of grassroots formation of a village education community is significant in itself. To this end, an in-depth interview method was used with 6 members of the initial joint childcare cooperative. As a result of the study, the joint parenting cooperative is a voluntary community that proactively solves the problems of parenting experienced by parents, and has expanded the educational community in consideration of the child's growth and interest. However, in a situation where it is difficult for children who live according to the school schedule to participate in village education, they create various educational spaces in the village. As a result, a village educational community was created where village life and learning continued. Based on this, it was discussed that the integration of daycare centers and after-school education can be a strategy for village education subjects, and that solidarity between villages is necessary to strengthen village education.
