본 연구는 거부민감성, 정신화, 정서조절곤란, 대인관계문제의 관련성을 알아보고, 거부민감성이 대인관계문제에 영향을 미칠 때 정신화와 정서조절곤란의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 만 18세에서 39세의 성인초기 남녀 432명을 대상으로 온라인 설문을 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 22.0과 SPSS PROCESS Macro 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상관분석 결과 거부민감성, 정신화, 정서조절곤란, 대인관계문제 모든 변인 간에 유의미한 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 거부민감성과 대인관계문제의 관계에서 정신화의 매개효과가 유의하게 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 거부민감성과 대인관계문제의 관계에서 정서조절곤란의 매개효과가 나타났다. 넷째, 거부민감성과 대인관계문제의 관계에서 정신화와 정서조절곤란의 순차적 이중매개효과가 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 초기 성인의 거부민감성이 정신화와 정서조절곤란을 통해 대인관계문제에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것을 의미한다. 또한 거부민감성이 대인관계문제에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인이며, 거부민감성이 정신화의 어려움에 영향을 미치고 이는 정서조절곤란으로 이어져 궁극적으로 대인관계문제로 이어질 수 있음을 의미한다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대해 논의하고 후속 연구에 대해 제언하였다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of mentalization and emotional dysregulation on the relationship between rejection sensitivity and interpersonal problems. A survey was conducted among 432 adults aged 18 to 39, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and SPSS PROCESS Macro programs. First, the correlation analysis revealed a significant correlation among all variables. Second, no mediating effect of mentalization was found in the relationship between rejection sensitivity and interpersonal problems. Third, a mediating effect of emotional dysregulation was found in the relationship between rejection sensitivity and interpersonal problems. Fourth, sequential mediating effects of mentalization and emotional dysregulation were found in the relationship between rejection sensitivity and interpersonal problems. Finally, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed, and suggestions for follow-up studies were provided.
