Purpose: This study aims to inquire into how the participant is adapting to her school when she is in crisis of dropping out and how the experience means to her. Methods: Five sessions of group counseling were given to six school maladjusting students in a girls` middle school in Gyeong gi-do, from the middle of May to the end of June, 2014. Among them, a participant was in crisis of dropout, so she was provided with nine sessions of meditation counseling, once in every week, from the beginning of September to the beginning of December, 2014. During the meditation counseling, she learned the easy way to meditate at the group counseling, faced her old wounds at the individual counseling, and practiced the Reflected Image Meditation to overcome the wounds. Results: In the earlier stage, she couldn`t attend classes because her heart raced, causing difficult breathing whenever she tried to. It continued for more than a month. She was able to attend classes from the beginning of December, when the meditation counseling period was almost over. She even started to adapt to P.E class, the one she found the most difficult to face. Conclusion: This study demonstrates the process of the meditation counseling helping adapting to school life in crisis of dropout. However, this study only covers the problems in peer groups as the cause of the crisis. There will be many other reasons. Therefore, further studies are required to inquire into different reasons of school dropout in order to enhance the possibility of normal school life for the students in crisis of dropout.
