Poonggyeong`s Story of Affinity: A Narrative Inquiry about Understanding Personal Relations by Poongyeong Who has an Experience of being Abandoned

Purpose: This study aims to inquire into features and causes of conflictual personal relations of a participant who had experienced abandonment in childhood through cases. Methods: As a data collecting method fitted for narrative methodology, eight sessions of counseling have been applied. The form of data is mainly narrative. Data has been analyzed and coded based on the recording, being categorized. The meaning has been interpreted based on the category. For validity of analysis, member checking and supervision process have been performed. Results: Features of personal relations of the participant include patterns of doubt, repression, decrease in relations, and severance. Coupling results of Enneagram character type and psychological schema, it was able to find the causes are the experience being abandoned in childhood and having growth period in Buddhist temple. Conclusion: Validity of narrative study, whether to tell a characteristic cause of human relations as a schema, and the effect of mindfulness meditation are discussed.
