Purpose: This is a narrative case study aiming for a teenager who has been bullied and alienated at school to overcome the experience through meditation counselling. Methods: From the middle of October 2013 to the middle of December 2013, nine sessions of weekly meditation counselling were carried out after an initial interview. The participant took a personality test at the beginning of counselling. The participant had been having troubles in daily life due to the experiences of being bullied and alienated in the past. In order to find out the intensity of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), the participant had been diagnosed by using the PTSD check list. Besides, the self-regard check list was used to find the cause of low self-esteem. Results: At an early stage of counselling, he had hard time facing the past incidents that he had went through. As the sessions are repeated, however, he started to show a very small change. When the Image-based Mindfulness Meditation was applied since the fourth session, the change started to be significant. In the seventh session, even people around the participant noticed the change. Conclusion: The study has clearly proved the effect of meditation counselling. From now on, constant efforts are required to have many different clinic experiences to be ready for any kind of patient and to provide professional meditation skills and counselling skills to give the positive change just as much as patients want.
