디지털 네이티브로서 초등학교 1학년의 평면표현 특성 연구

A study on Drawings characteristics of first graders in elementary school as digital natives

이 연구는 로웬필드의 표현 발달 단계와 비교하여 오늘날 디지털 네이티브로서초등학교 1학년 어린이의 미술 표현은 어떤 차이가 있는지, 차이 여부와 내용을 알아보고자 하였다. 1학년 아동이 수업 상황에서 그린 그림을 분석하여 첫째, 자유화에서 인물이 포함된 경험 세계보다 객관 대상의 표현 비중이 높은 점, 둘째, 공간 표현의 발달이 빨라진 점, 셋째, 주관적 경험의 표현 경향이 줄어든 점, 넷째, 글 보충의 경향성을 근거로, ‘디지털 네이티브는 로웬필드의 표현 발달 단계를 기준으로 할 때, 사실적 표현의 경향이 높아지고 있음’을 잠정적 결론으로 제시하였다. 또한 이 연구는 디지털 네이티브의 표현 발달 연구를 위한 선행 연구로서 후속 연구를 위하여 제재에 따라 연구 내용이 달라짐을 고려하여 연구 방법을 정교하게 설계할 것, 발달의 위계보다는 특징을 파악하는 데 중점을 둘 것, 디지털 매체의 영향력을 확인할 수 있는 방법론은 모색할 것, 디지털 매체에 노출과 숙련도가 높은 고학년을 대상으로 할 것 등 네 가지를 제안하였다.

This study aimed to find out what kind of difference there is in the art expression of children in the first grade of elementary school as digital natives today compared to the developmental stage of expression in Rowenfield, whether there is any difference, and what the content is. Based on the results of analyzing the pictures drawn by 1st graders in class situations, First, in liberalization, the proportion of expression of objective objects has increased rather than the proportion of expression of the empirical world that includes characters. Second, the development of spatial expression accelerated. Third, the tendency to express subjective experience has decreased. Fourth, there is a tendency to supplement pictures with text. Based on this, it was presented as a tentative conclusion that “digital natives are showing a growing tendency for realistic expressions based on the level of expression development of Lowenfield.” In addition, this study is a precedent study for the study of the characteristics of the expression development of digital natives for follow-up studies. First, research methods should be elaborately designed in consideration of the fact that the contents of research vary depending on the subject matter. Second, the emphasis should be placed on identifying the characteristics rather than the hierarchy of development. Third, a methodology that can confirm the influence of digital media should be sought. It is appropriate for the research subjects to target seniors with high exposure and proficiency in digital media. The above four suggestions were made.
