문화예술직무 경험이 있는 중증장애인의 일에 관한 포토보이스 연구

A Photovoice Study on the Cultural Art Jobs for people with Severe Disabilities

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 문화예술직무에 참여한 중증장애인의 경험을 탐색하는 것이다. 연구방법: 중증장애인 맞춤형 문화예술 일자리 사업에 참여한 중증장애인 3명을 대상으로 포토보이스 연구를 실시하고, 분석한 결과‘의미없이 흘려버린 시간’, ‘장애예술인, 나는 장애를 표현하는 사람’, ‘천천히 그리고 다시’, ‘문화예술직무, 괜찮은 일자리’, ‘일상을 함께하는 사람들’, ‘장애예술인으로 살고픈 미래’의 6개 주제와 11개 하위주제를 도출하였다.연구결과: 이 연구의 주요결과는 장애예술인은 중증장애로 인한 장애 특성을 최대한 반영하여, 문화예술직무 속에서 나를 표현하는 일을 수행하면서 자신의 일과 삶에서 의미있는 시간을 보내고자 하였다. 일로서 문화예술직무는 괜찮은 일자리로 나타났으며, 중증장애인은 문화예술직무를 통해 가족들과 함께하는 시간 확대, 새로운 사람을 만나고 관계를 맺을 수 있는 기회 확장, 꿈을 꿀 수 있는 미래를 바라보게 되었다. 제언: 문화예술직무에 참여한 중증장애인은 책임감 생기고, 표현력이 증가하였으며, 꿈을 꾸게 됨을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로, 중증장애인의 문화예술직무가 괜찮은 일자리로서 안정적으로 지속 가능할 수 있도록 함의를 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of individuals with severe disabilities who have worked in cultural art jobs. The research method employed in this study was photovoice research. As a result, 6 main themes emerged, including “Time Wasted Meaninglessly,”“Disability as Art: Expressing Myself,”“Slowly and Progress, Yet Steady,”“Cultural Art Job as Decent Work,”“People with Daily Life,”and“Aspiring to a Future as a Disability Artist,”along with 11 subthemes. Disability artists aimed to reflect the characteristics of their disabilities as authentically as possible and aspired to spend meaningful time in both their work and personal lives while expressing themselves through cultural art jobs. These jobs appeared to offer a sense of dignity, expanding their time with family, creating opportunities for building new relationships, and providing additional chances to dream of a brighter future. Based on the study's results, we discussed the implications of establishing cultural art jobs as stable and dignified employment options for individuals with severe disabilities.
