유아기 자녀를 둔 부모의 위험감수놀이에 대한 인식 연구

Parents' perception of risk-taking play with young children

본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 부모가 자녀의 위험감수놀이에 대한 인식을 살펴보고자 질적 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 D광역시에 소재한 5-7세 유아기 자녀를 둔 부모 7명을 연구참여자로 하였다. 2023년 6월부터 7월까지 두달 간 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였으며, 수집된 자료는 주제 범주에 의거하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 유아기 자녀를 둔 부모의 위험감수놀이에 대한 인식은 ‘자신의 한계를 경험하고 도전하는 놀이’, ‘신체적 부상의 위험을 수반하는 놀이’, ‘딜레마를 생기게 하는 놀이’로 나타났으며, 부모의 개인적 특성에 따른 위험감수놀이에 대한 인식은 ‘부모의 어릴 적 놀이경험’, ‘부모의 직업적 특성’, ‘안전을 강조하는 사회문화적 환경에 대한 인식’으로 나타났다. 이를 통하여 위험감수놀이에 대해 이해하고, 위험감수놀이에 대한 부모교육 방안을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 연구의 의의를 두고자 한다.

This study conducted a qualitative study to examine the perceptions and attitudes of parents with young children to their children's risk-taking play. For this purpose, 7 parents with young children aged between 5-7 living in D Metropolitan City were selected as participants for the study. Data were collected through in-depth interviews for two months from June to July 2023, and the collected data were analyzed based on subject categories. As a result of the analysis, the perceptions of risk-taking play by parents of young children were found to be 'play that experiences and challenges one's own limitations', 'play that involves the risk of physical injury', and 'play that creates dilemma', awareness of risk-taking play according to parents' personal characteristics was revealed as 'parents' childhood play experience', 'parents' occupational characteristics', and 'perception of socio-cultural environment that emphasizes safety'. Through these findings, the significances of the study are to understand risk-taking play and provide basic data for parent education measures regarding risk-taking play.
