진로구성인터뷰(Career Construction Interview)를 활용한 대학 입시 거부 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

A narrative inquiry of the college entrance rejection experience using Career Construction Interview

이 연구의 목적은 대학입시거부선언을 경험한 학생들의 내러티브 탐구를 통해 청소년 진로진학상담과 교육에대한 함의점을 찾는 것이다. 개개인의 역량 계발을 목표로 하면서도 입시에서 성과를 이뤄내야 하는 모순된 요구를 동시에 받고 있는 한국 교육의 특수한 상황에서, 진로 상담 영역에도 패러다임의 변화를 요구받고 있다. 진학 지도를 주요 영역으로 여기는 청소년 진로 상담이 어떤 방향으로 나아가야 하는가에 대한 함의를 찾고자, 대학 입시 거부 선언의 경험이 있는 참여자들이 가정과 학교, 사회에서 어떤 경험을 하였고 이를 어떻게 의미화하며 살아가고 있는지를 내러티브 탐구의 방법으로 살펴보았다. 참여자들은 대학입시를 비롯한 여러 경쟁에서 승리해야 한다는 가정과 학교로부터의 압박을 견디다 못해 탈학교나 탈가정을 선택하였다. 역설적으로 이들은 대학 입시 거부 선언을 준비하면서 경쟁으로 인해 학창 시절 느꼈던, 삶의 경험을 해석할 수 있는 언어를 발견하였고, 개인적인 억압에 대한 분노를 대학입시거부선언이라는 공적인 행위로 표현함으로써 삶의 주체성을 되찾는 계기가 되었다. 이는 대학입시에 자신을 종속시키지 않고도 진정한 나를 찾아갈 수 있도록 지원하는 시스템이 필요함과 동시에 진로 상담에서 자신의 문제에 대해 사회적으로 의미화하는 과정이 필요하다는 것을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to find implications for youth career counseling and education through narrative exploration of students who experienced college entrance rejection. Korean education is in a contradictory situation where it emphasizes competency and focuses on entrance exams, and a paradigm shift is also needed in the field of career counseling. In order to find implications for the direction in which youth career counseling, which regards college guidance as its main field, should move, we examined what experiences participants who have declared refusal to enter college have had at home, school, and in society, and how they make meaning of them in their lives. It was examined as a method of narrative inquiry through Career Construction Interview. In order to find out the implications of the direction in which career counseling for youth, which considers college entrance guidance as the main area, should go, participants who have experienced college entrance refusal declarations experienced what experiences they had at home, school, and society, and how they meaningfully lived their lives. As a result, the participants could not stand the pressure from home and school to win the college entrance exam and compete, so they chose to drop out of school or leave their family, and paradoxically prepare a declaration of rejection of the college entrance exam. It was found that it became an opportunity to regain the subjectivity of life by discovering a language that could be used and expressing anger against personal oppression through the public act of declaring university refusal. This suggests that there is a need for a system that supports many students to find their true selves without subjecting themselves to college entrance exams, and at the same time, a process of making their problems socially meaningful in career counseling.
