협의이혼 상담에서 상담자의 진정성 경험에 관한 합의적 질적연구

A Consensual Qualitative Research on the Counselor Authenticity Experience of Consensual Divorce Counselors

본 연구는 협의이혼 상담자들이 지각하는 진정성의 의미는 무엇인지, 상담자의 진정성은 어떻게 촉진되는지, 상담자의 진정성은 상담 성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대해 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 협의이혼 상담자 10명을 심층 면담하고, 합의적 질적 연구방법을 활용하여 면담 자료를 분석하였다. 자료는 총 5개의 영역과 11개 하위영역, 42개의 범주로 구분되었다. 첫째, 협의이혼 상담자들은 진정성을 내담자의 문제에 대해 이해하고 수용하며, 도와주려는 마음을 가지려는 태도로 개념화하고 있었다. 둘째, 협의이혼 상담자의 진정성 촉진요인은 상담자의 노력과 내담자의 긍정적인 반응이었다. 셋째, 협의이혼 상담자들이 진정성을 발현하는데 있어서 방해가 되는 요인은 내담자의 저항과 거부감 표현, 상담자로서 의욕과 열정 저하, 상황적 한계 등으로 나타났다. 넷째, 협의이혼 상담자들의 진정성 회복요인으로는 상담자의 개인적인 대처와 상담자로서의 대처로 나타났다. 다섯째, 협의이혼 상담자의 진정성 발현이 잘 되었을 때 나타나는 효과는 내담자의 인식이 변화하게 되고 상담자는 상담자로서의 자부심을 갖게 되며, 성공적인 상담의 결과를 얻는 것이었다. 따라서 협의이혼 상담자의 진정성은 상담 관계에서 상담의 성과에 영향을 주므로 협의이혼 상담자의 진정성 발현을 위한 제도 마련이 필요함을 제언하였다.

This study attempted to analyze the meaning of authenticity perceived by consensual divorce counselors, how the counselor’s authenticity is promoted, and how the counselor’s authenticity affects counseling performance. For this purpose, ten uncontested divorce counselors were interviewed in depth and the data were analyzed using Consensual Qualitative Research(CQR). The data were drawn into a total of 5 areas, 11 sub-areas, and 42 categories. First, the uncontested divorce counselors conceptualized authenticity as an attitude to understand and accept the client’s problem and to have a willingness to help. Second, counselor’s effort and client’s positive response were the factors to promote counselor’s authenticity. Third, the obstacles to the counselor’s authenticity were the client’s resistance and rejection, the counselor’s motivation and passion, and the situational limitations. Fourth, counselors’ personal coping and counselors’ coping were found to be the recovery factors of counseling divorce counselors’ authenticity. Fifth, it was found that the effect of the authenticity manifestation of the uncontested divorce counselor was that the client’s perception changed, the counselor became proud as a counselor, and the result of successful counseling was obtained. Therefore, since authenticity affects therapeutic effect in counseling relationship, it is suggested that efforts should be made to develop authenticity of uncontested divorce counselors.
