교육사회학 70년의 학문적 성과와 과제

Accomplishments and challenges of Korean Sociology of Education for 70 years

본 연구는 한국교육사회학회의 출발부터 지금까지의 학문적 변화과정을 분석하였으며, 세부 분석에서는 「교육사회학연구」 학술지를 통해 나타난 연구동향 및 변화들을 살펴보았다. 한국에서 교육사회학 연구의 시작은 1953년 한국교육학회의 출범을 시작으로 논의가 이루어졌으며, 이후 1967년 교육사회학연구회가 본격화되면서 지금 학회로서의 모습으로까지 성장해왔다. 한국교육사회학회의 학문적 성과를 학술지 발간 이전과 이후로 구분하여 보면, 한국교육사회학 분야의 연구과정에서 축적된 성과는 지금까지 33권 1호의 학술지 발간에 이르고있다. 본 연구에서는 학술지에 게재된 총 764편의 학술논문 추이를 분석하였고, 학술지 인용상황을 저자나 키워드 간의 관계를 파악하기 위해 사회연결망 분석을 활용하여 상세히 분석하였다. 지금까지의 한국 교육사회학 연구는 연구논문을 비롯해 연구자도 대폭 늘어났으며, 연구주제도 시기에 따라 큰 변화가 나타나는 추이를 보이고 있었다. 이 연구결과를 바탕으로 향후 한국 교육사회학 연구자들이 학문적 성과를 더욱 확대하기 위해 필요한 몇 가지 제언도 제시하였다.

This research analyzed the academic change process of the Korean Educational Sociology Association from its inception to the present. In detailed analysis, we examined the research trends and changes that appeared through the “Korean Journal of Sociology of Education.” The beginning of sociology of education research in Korea began with discussions starting from the establishment of the Korean Educational Research Society in 1953. Afterward, the Korean Society for Sociology of Education was established in 1967 and has grown into its current form as a society. We analyzed the academic achievements of the Korean Society for Sociology of Education by dividing them into before and after journal publication. The accumulated achievements in the field of Korean sociology of education research totaled 33 volumes and 764 academic papers. We also analyzed citation situations using social network analysis with NodeXL to understand relationships between authors or keywords in detail. Korean sociology of education research has increased significantly in terms of both research papers and researchers, and shows a trend of significant changes depending on the period. Based on these research results, several suggestions have been made for Korean sociology of education researchers to further expand their academic achievements.
