미술 수업설계에서 생성형 인공지능 활용에 대한 탐험적 연구

An Exploratory Study of the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Art Instructional Design

인공지능 기술의 급속한 발전은 우리 생활의 다양한 영역에 깊은 영향을 미치고 있다. 특히, 미술교육 분야에서의 혁신적인 변화는 주목할 만하다. 이러한 맥락에서 출발하여, 본 연구는 서울 소재 예술대학교의 미술 전공 재학생 15명을 대상으로 수업설계 과정에서 ChatGPT의 활용 가능성을 탐구하였다. 이를 위해 성찰일지, 인터뷰 내용, 수업 자료 및 연구자의 참여관찰 일지를 종합적으로 활용하여 ChatGPT 적용 방식과 특성을 면밀하게 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 학습자들은 미술 수업설계에서 ChatGPT를 전반적인 구조 설정, 아이디어 발전, 내용의 세부화, 조언 제공, 문장 구조 및 검증의 역할로 활용하였다. 이 과정에서 사용된 명령어는 아이디어 비교, 데이터 수집, 추가적인 질문, 아이디어 통합에 중점을 두었다. 또한, 학습자들은 ChatGPT를 제3의 교사로 인식하면서도 동시에 기술적 한계에 대해서도 명확하게 이해하고 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 미술교육 분야에서 ChatGPT의 적용 방안과 교수법 개발에 새로운 방향을 제시하고, 인공지능 기술의 교육적 활용에 대한 논의를 확장하는 데 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technology is profoundly impacting various aspects of our lives. Notably, the application of AI in the field of art education is particularly significant. This study explores the potential of integrating ChatGPT in the course design process among 15 art students at an art university in Seoul. To this end, reflective journals, interview contents, course materials, and the researcher's participatory observation notes were comprehensively utilized to meticulously analyze the various usage methods and characteristics of ChatGPT. The study found that learners utilized ChatGPT in art course design for roles such as setting overall structure, developing ideas, detailing content, providing advice, and verifying sentence structures. The commands used in this process focused on comparing ideas, collecting data, raising additional questions, and integrating ideas. Moreover, learners recognized ChatGPT as an assistant teacher while clearly understanding its technical limitations. Based on these findings, this study aims to offer new directions in the application and methodological development of ChatGPT in art education and contribute to expanding the discussion on the educational use of AI technology.
