유아교육기관 공간에 관한 연구동향 분석

Research trends on the space of early childhood education institutions

본 연구는 유아교육기관의 공간에 관한 최근 국내 연구동향을 분석함으로써 유아를 위한 공간의 교육적 함의를 찾아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 2003년부터 2022년까지 국내 학술지에 게재된 유아교육기관의 공간 관련 연구 148편을 선정하였다. 선정된 논문을 대상으로 연구시기별로 경향성을 살펴보았으며, 시기별로 연구대상 기관, 연구주제, 연구방법에 따라 빈도와 백분율을 산출하였다. 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 시기로는 2018년부터 2022년까지의 연구 수가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났으며, 둘째, 연구시기별 연구대상 기관은 2018~2022년 시기에 유치원과 어린이집에 관해 시행된 연구 수가 동일하게 많이 수행된 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 시기별 연구주제로는 2018~2022년에 공간의 계획 및 개발 주제 중 모델제시에 관한 연구를 가장 많이 다룬 것으로 나타났으며, 넷째 시기별 연구방법으로는 2018~2022년에 사례분석연구가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 유아의 교육을 위한 공간으로서의 유아교육기관의 중요성을 인식하고 추후 연구가 이루어져야 할 방향성의 관점에서 논의되었다.

This study aims to find the educational implications of space for young children by analyzing recent Korean research trends on space of early childhood education institutions. To this end, 148 spatial-related studies of early childhood education institutions published in domestic journals from 2003 to 2022 were selected. The trends were examined by research period for selected papers, and the frequency and percentage were calculated according to the research target institution, research topic, and research method by period. The analysis results are as follows. First, the number of studies from 2018 to 2022 was the largest, and second, the number of studies conducted on kindergartens and daycare centers by study period was the same between 2018 and 2022. Third, research topics by period were found to have dealt with the most research on model presentation among space planning and development topics between 2018 and 2022. Lastly, as a result of analyzing the research methods used to study the space of early childhood education institutions, case analysis studies were found to be the most common research method by period between 2018 and 2022. The results of this study recognized the importance of early childhood education institutions as spaces for early childhood education and discussed in terms of the direction in which further research should be conducted.
