유아의 의사소통능력과 또래유능성의 관계에서 정서지능과 놀이성의 매개효과

Mediating effect of children’s emotional intelligence and playfulness on the relationship between communication competence and peer competence

본 연구는 유아의 의사소통능력, 정서지능, 놀이성, 또래유능성 간의 구조적 관계를 분석하여 변인 간의 경로를 알아보고 의사소통능력과 또래유능성 간 관계에서 정서지능과 놀이성의 다중매개효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 강원도 소재 유아교육기관에 재원 중인 유아 701명이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 및 AMOS 26.0 프로그램을 활용하여 구조방정식모형 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 유아의 의사소통능력, 정서지능, 놀이성은 또래유능성과 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아의 의사소통능력, 정서지능, 놀이성은 또래유능성에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 유아의 의사소통능력과 또래유능성 간의 관계에서 정서지능의 부분매개효과와 정서지능과 놀이성의 이중매개효과가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유아의 또래유능성에 대한 예측변인들과 변인 간 경로들을 제공함으로써 유아의 또래유능성을 효과적으로 증진하기 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것이라 기대한다.

This study analyzes the structural relationship between children’s communication competence, emotional intelligence, playfulness, and peer competence and investigates the mediating effect of emotional intelligence and playfulness on the relationship between communication competence and peer competence. Data were obtained from 701 young children (4-6 years old) in Gangwon-do and analyzed by means of Pearson’s correlation analysis and structural equation modeling verification using SPSS and AMOS 26.0. The results were as follows: Children’s communication competence, emotional intelligence, playfulness, and peer competence were significantly correlated. Children’s communication competence had a direct effect on their emotional intelligence and peer competence. Additionally, in the relationship between children’s communication competence and peer competence, emotional intelligence and playfulness exhibited a partial mediating effect.
