교육 현장을 위한 한국적 실행연구 모델 개발

The Development of a Korean-Style Action Research Model for the Education Field

본 연구에서는 지금까지 개발된 여러 실행연구의 내용을 종합·분석하고, 이를 토대로 우리 현장의 맥락과 상황에 알맞은 한국적 실행연구 모델에 관해 제안하고자 하였다. 연구 결과를 도출하기 위하여 서구를 중심으로 한 기존 실행연구 모델의 단계와 구체적인 내용들을 분석하였다. 그리고 실행연구에서 공유되는 핵심적인 절차와 내용을 규명하고, 한국적 실행연구 모델에 포함되어야 하는 요소들을 추출하였다. 마지막으로는 실제 수행된 실행연구 사례들을 토대로 핵심적인 4가지 요소에 따라 진행되는 실행연구의 절차를 제안하였다. 우리나라 교육 현장에 적합한 실행연구 모델을 개발한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문제 확인과 구체화 단계에서는 실행연구에서 가장 중요한 초기 문제를 확인하고 연구의 방향을 설정한다. 둘째, 실행 계획 단계에서는 초기 문제를 해결하기 위한 잠정적인 방안을 구상하고 준비한다. 셋째, 실행 단계에서는 준비한 해결 방안을 직접 실천하고 그 결과에 관한 증거들을 다양한 방법으로 수집한다. 넷째, 성찰 단계에서는 지금까지 이루어졌던 실행 과정과 결과를 심층적으로 검토하여 연구의 의미와 가치를 규명하고, 연구를 종결할지, 재실행할지를 결정한다. 본 연구에서 제안된 모델을 토대로 연구자의 역량과 현장의 맥락에 적합한 다채롭고 심도 있는 실행연구 사례들이 축적되기를 기대한다.

This study aims to put together and analyze the content of many action researches developed so far and propose a Korean-style action research model proper for the context and situation of the education field. The study analyzed the stages and specific content of the old action research models mainly from the West to generate findings before identifying the core procedure and content shared among action researches and extracting the elements that should be included in a Korean-style action research model. Finally, the study proposed an action research procedure according to four core elements based on real action research cases. The study developed an action research model fit for the education field of South Korea, and the results were as follows: first, the stage of checking and specifying a problem checks out the most important initial problem in action research and sets the research direction; second, the stage of planning an implementation designs and prepares a tentative plan to solve the initial problem; third, the stage of implementation practices the prepared solution firsthand and collects evidence about its outcomes in various ways; and finally, the stage of reflection investigates the research significance and value by reviewing the implementation processes and outcomes in-depth and determines whether to end or rerun the research. It is expected that colorful and profound action research cases will be accumulated fit for the competence of a researcher and the context of the field based on the model proposed in the study.
