소크라틱 세미나의 절차와 사례 -아낌없이 주는 나무를 중심으로-

The Procedures and case study of the Socratic Seminar -Centering on The Giving Trees-

이 연구는 소크라틱 세미나의 절차와 사례를 연구하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 소크라틱 세미나의 절차를 전·중·후의 과정으로 구분하였다(Custer, 2011:Fischer, 2019). 그런 다음에「아낌없이 주는 나무」를 활용하여 소크라틱 세미나를 진행하였다. 그 결과 다음의 연구 성과를 얻었다. 첫째, 소크라틱 세미나 준비하기 단계에서는「아낌없이 주는 나무」를 자세히 읽고 질문으로 만드는 과정을 구체적으로 제시하였다. 둘째, 소크라틱 세미나 진행하기 단계에서는 리더, 참여자, 관찰자의 역할과 인원 및 환경에 따라 소크라틱 세미나를 효과적으로 운영할 수 있는 모형(One Circle, Two Circle, Multi Circle)을 구체적으로 제시하였다. 셋째, 소크라틱 세미나 평가 및 소감 말하기 단계에서는 자기 성찰과 동료 평가 도구, 세미나 전반에 대한 소감을 기록하여 말할 수 있는 도구를 구체적으로 제시하였다.

In this study, the procedures and examples of the Socratic Seminar were studied. To this end, referring to the opinions of Custer (2011) and Fischer (2019), the procedure of the Socratic Seminar was divided into before, during, and after processes, and the Socratic Seminar was conducted using the 「The Giving Tree」. As a result, the following research results were obtained. First, in the preparation stage of the Socratic Seminar, read 「The Giving Tree」in detail and making it a question was presented. Second, in the stage of conducting the Socratic Seminar, the roles of leaders, participants, and observers and the Socratic Seminar Model (One Circle, Two Circle, Multi Circle) were presented. Third, in the evaluation and speech stage of the Socratic Seminar, a tool for self-reflection, a tool for peer evaluation, and a tool for recording and speaking one's impressions of the seminar as a whole were presented.
