대학생들의 농인(Deaf) 이해 관점에 따른 농문화에 대한 이해도 차이

Differences in Understanding of Deaf Culture According to Perspective of Deaf by University Students

본 연구는 대학생들의 농인(Deaf)을 이해하는 관점에 따른 농문화에 대한 이해 차이를 분석하기 위하여 198명을 대상으로 설문조사를 시행하였다. 설문조사 결과, 선행연구를 바탕으로 한 문항의 요인을 새롭게 탐색적 요인으로 분석한 결과, 신뢰도 계수가 낮은 문항 3개를 제외하고 농문화 이해에관한 문항 24개를 통해 언어․문화적 차이, 집단정체성 및 농사회, 청능주의, 사회통합으로 요인이도출되었다. 또한, 연구 참여자 요인으로 농인(Deaf) 이해를 그룹화하여 사회문화적 관점, 혼합적 관점, 병리적 관점으로 나누어서 분석하였다. 연구 참여자들의 개인 특성인 소속 계열, 성별, 농인(Deaf)이해 관점, 농인에 대한 교육 정도, 농인과의 만남 정도에 따라서 농문화 이해도 차이를 본 결과, 소속 계열은 교육계열이 농문화 이해가 높고, 농인(Deaf) 이해 관점은 사회문화적 관점이 농문화 이해가 높았으며, 농인에 대한 교육 정도가 높고, 만남 정도가 많을수록 농문화 이해도가 높은 것으로나타났다. 또한, 농인(Deaf) 이해 관점에 따라서 농문화 이해도의 하위 요인의 이해 차이를 분석한 결과, 사회문화적 관점 그룹이 4가지 하위 요인 모두에서 이해도가 높은 것으로 나타났다.

This study conducted a survey targeting 198 people to analyze the difference in understanding of ‘Deaf culture’ according to the perspective of understanding ‘Deaf’ among University students. As a result of analyzing the factors of the questions based on the survey results and previous studies as new exploratory factors, 24 questions on understanding Deaf culture, excluding 3 questions with a low reliability coefficient, revealed differences in language and culture, group identity and Factors derived from Deaf society, audiophilia, and social integration. In addition, understanding of the word of Deaf was grouped as a research participant factor and analyzed by dividing it into sociocultural, mixed, and pathological perspectives. As a result of examining the difference in understanding of Deaf culture according to the individual characteristics of the research participants—such as major field of study, gender, perspective on understanding the Deaf, degree of education about the Deaf, and frequency of interactions with the Deaf—it was found that, from the perspective of understanding the Deaf, the sociocultural aspect indicated a positive correlation. Specifically, a higher level of understanding of Deaf culture was associated with a higher level of education about the Deaf, as well as an increased frequency of interactions with the Deaf. In addition, as a result of analyzing the difference in understanding of the sub-factors of the understanding of Deaf culture according to the perspective of understanding the Deaf, it was found that the sociocultural perspective group had a high level of understanding in all 4 sub-factors.
