연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 부정적 및 긍정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 사회불안에 미치는 영향을 자기냉담이 조절하는지 검증하는 것으로, 사회불안장애의 하위유형에 따른 특성을 고려하여 사회적 상호작용 불안 및 수행 불안을 모두 포함하였다. 연구방법: 경기도 소재의 한 대학교에 재학 중인 284명을 대상으로 부정적 및 긍정적 평가에 대한 두려움, 사회불안(사회적 상호작용 불안, 수행 불안), 자기냉담을 측정하는 설문을 실시하였다. 기술통계 및 상관분석을 진행한 뒤, 위계적 중다회귀분석을 시행하였다. 연구결과: 자료분석 결과, 긍정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 사회적 상호작용 불안 및 수행 불안에 미치는 영향을 자기냉담이 조절하였다. 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움의 경우, 수행 불안에 미치는 영향을 자기냉담이 조절하였으나, 사회적 상호작용 불안에 미치는 영향에 대해서는 조절효과가 나타나지 않았다. 결론: 본 연구결과는 사회불안장애에 대하여 개입함에 있어 부정적 및 긍정적 평가에 대한 두려움에 모두 초점을 맞추고 자기냉담을 완화시키는 것이 유용할 수 있으며, 사회불안장애의 하위유형의 특성을 고려하여 치료를 구성할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.
Objective: This study examined whether self-coldness moderates the relationship between negative and positive evaluation on social anxiety. Considering the characteristics of the subtypes of social anxiety disorder, both social interaction anxiety and performance anxiety were included. Methods: Two hundred and eighty-four students in a university located in Gyeonggi-do were asked to complete the measures assessing the fear of negative and positive evaluation, social interaction anxiety, performance anxiety, and self-coldness. After conducting descriptive statistics and correlation analysis, hierarchical multiple regression analysis was performed. Results: The results showed that self-coldness moderated the effects of the fear of positive evaluation on social interaction anxiety and performance anxiety. Self-coldness also moderated the effects of the fear of positive evaluation on performance anxiety. However, there was no moderating effect on the effect of the fear of positive evaluation on social interaction anxiety. Conclusions: In intervening in social anxiety disorder, it may be useful to focus on both the fear of negative and positive evaluation and alleviate self-coldness. In addition, psychotherapeutic intervention should consider the subtypes of social anxiety disorder.
