시설보호 학대피해아동의 치유 및 회복 과정에 관한 질적사례연구: 아동-사회복지사의 상호작용 특성과 변화를 중심으로

A Qualitative Case Study on the Healing and Recovery Process of Abused Children in a Temporary Protection Facility: Focused on Characteristics and Changes of the Child-Social Worker Interaction

본 연구는 시설보호 학대피해아동의 치유 및 회복 과정을 아동-사회복지사의 상호작용 중심으로 탐색하였다. 학대피해아동 일시보호시설의 사회복지사 6명과 입소아동 5명을 사례로 선정하여 심층면담을 수행하고, 질적사례연구방법을 활용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 단계별 상호작용의 특징은 초기 ‘낯설고 불편한 시작’, 중기 ‘갈등과 성장의 우상향 그래프’, 후기 ‘치유와 회복의 힘을 기반으로 세상으로 나갈준비하기’로 나타났으며, 아동이 낯선 환경에서 사회복지사와의 관계를 ‘불안과 경계심’으로 시작하였으나, 복합적 외상후유증과 분투하면서도 상호 신뢰와 지지의 관계 역동을 통해 점차 ‘쾌활함과 자기 긍정’의 회복과 성장으로 나아감을 확인하였다. 아동학대 전담 사회복지사 양성 및 피해아동의 중장기 시설보호를 위한 인력 배치, 아동학대현장 피해아동 개입 업무 매뉴얼 보완 및 확충이 제안되었다.

This study is designed for in-depth illumination about the process of healing and recovery for abused children, based on the child-social worker interaction. In-depth interviews were conducted with six social workers and five children in a temporary protection facility for abused children, and the data was analyzed by qualitative case study method. The phase characteristics of the interaction appeared as the initial stage of ‘unfamiliar and uncomfortable beginning’, the middle stage of ‘an upward graph of conflicts and growths’ and the final stage of ‘ready to go out into the world’ based on the power of healing and recovery. Children began with ‘anxiety and wariness’ to their relationship with social workers and unfamiliar environments and gradually advanced to ‘resilience and self-positivity’ toward recovery and growth despite their struggles with the trauma sequelae. Cultivating social workers specialized for child abuse, staffing for mid-long term facility care of abused children, and expanding a work manual for child abuse intervention were suggested.
