A Study on the Development of the Neulbom School Program

본 개발 프로그램은 <튼튼쑥쑥 늘봄학교>라고 명명하고 ‘몸맘튼튼’과 ‘창의쑥쑥’비교과 프로그램군으로 나누어 운영한다. 개발의 주안점은 첫째, 늘봄학교는 학습자의 성장 속도를 고려하여 마음과 분리되어 있지 않는 몸을 건강하게 하고 평생 학습 습관 및 태도를 형성하며, 창의적으로 사고하고 관계 맺는 과정을 통해 진로를 탐색할 수 있도록 한다. 그러므로 둘째, 교과와 연계할 수 있는 몸성 및 창의성에 기초한 비교과 프로그램을 개발하고 이를 일반화할 수 있는 가이드라인을 제시한다. 셋째, 참여형 비교과 프로그램을 통해 학습자가 자기주도적으로 교육과정을 연계할 수 있도록교육프로그램을 운영한다. 넷째. 경북과 부산지역 소재 대학이 지역 네트워크를 형성하여 늘봄학교의 안착을 위한 토대를 형성한다. 다섯째, 개인 역량 중심의 일회성 프로그램의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 지속 가능한 프로그램 개발 및 전문인력 양성을 통해 새로운 일자리 창출 및 늘봄학교의 지속가능성을 모색한다.

The Neulbom School is a governmental policy that provides the high-quality “educare” service combining education and childcare. Its goal is to strengthen the after-school activities and relieve the parental burdens (such as time and efforts for care and the expense of private education) by educare. This article designs a program-model for the Neulbom School, called “Teunteun-ssookssook Neulbom School.” Teunteun-ssookssook Neulbom School is an extracurricular program that aims to promote self-directed learning and healthy mind and body through exploring improved postures, movements and habits. In the Teunteun-ssookssook Neulbom School, “school” means the school in which every moment of every day leads to learning and growing up of mind and body. The “school” forms individually designed learning process according to the child’s development. Also, it vitalizes the attitude of life-long learning and practice. The Teunteun-ssookssook Neulbom School consists of two extracurricular aspects such as “Mom-maam teunteun” (making sound body and mind), and “Chang-eui ssookssook” (raising creativeness). In “Mom-maam teunteun,” the child explores his or her bodiness (mom-seong) through “Eolsoojeolsoo Mom-nori” and Community Dance. In “Chang-eui ssookssook,” Creative Sports and Ecodance enable the child to explore creative thinking and relationship through playing.“Teunteun-ssookssook Neulbom School” emphasizes the “manual” rather than the skill of the individual teacher. With its “manual”-ized or systemized contents, “Teunteun-ssookssook Neulbom School” is going to make the Neulbom School more sustainable and create more job positions.
