시각장애인의 장애수용이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향: 대인관계의 매개효과

Impact of Acceptance of Disability of People with Visual Impairments on Life Satisfaction Level: The Mediation Effects of Interpersonal Relationship

연구 목적: 이 연구는 시각장애인의 장애수용이 생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 확인하고 두 변수 간의 관계에서 대인관계의 매개효과를 검증하여 시각장애인의 생활만족도를 높이기 위한 방안 모색의 기초자료를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 방법: 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 시각장애 관련 기관에 연락하여 연구의 목적과 방법을 설명한 후 참여 동의를 구하였다. 자발적으로 참여하기로 한 기관을 통하여 연구대상자를 모집하였으며, 최종적으로 시각장애인 368명의 설문응답 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. 연구 결과: 첫째, 시각장애인의 장애수용이 대인관계에 정적인 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 이는 장애수용이 높을수록 대인관계가 긍정적으로 높아짐을 의미한다. 둘째, 시각장애인의 장애수용이 생활만족도에 정적인 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 이는 장애수용이 높을수록 생활만족도가 높아짐을 의미한다. 셋째, 시각장애인의 장애수용과 대인관계를 동시에 투입하여 생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과, 대인관계는 생활만족도에 정적인 영향을 미치고 있었으며 장애수용의 유의미한 영향력은 낮아졌다. 즉, 시각장애인의 장애수용과 생활만족도 간에 관계에서 대인관계는 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 검증되었다. 결론: 이러한 결과를 토대로 시각장애인의 생활만족도를 향상할 수 있는 방안을 모색하였으며 몇 가지 제언을 하였다.

Purpose: This study aims to understand the impact of acceptance of disability of people with visual impairments on their life satisfaction level and provide basic resources to find ways to improve the life satisfaction level of them by verifying the mediation effects of the interpersonal relationship in the relationship between two variables. Method: To achieve this goal, a visual impairments-related organization has been provided with explanations about the purpose and method of the study and agreed to participate in this study. The research subject was selected by the organizations that participated in this study voluntarily. Results: As a result, the responses from the survey of a total of 368 people with visual impairments were used for the analysis and the result was as follows. First, acceptance of disability of people with visual impairments had a positive impact on the interpersonal relationship. It means when the level of disability acceptance was higher, the interpersonal relationship was also higher on the positive side. Second, acceptance of disability of people with visual impairments had a positive impact on their life satisfaction level. It means when the level of disability acceptance was higher, the life satisfaction level was also higher. Third, when verifying the impact on the life satisfaction level by putting the disability acceptance and the interpersonal relationship of people with visual impairments at the same time, the interpersonal relationship had a positive impact on their life satisfaction level, and the impact of the disability acceptance was decreased. In conclusion, it is verified that the interpersonal relationship has partial mediation effects on the relation between disability acceptance and the life satisfaction level of people with visual impairments. Conclusion: Based on these results, methods for improving the life satisfaction level of people with visual impairments and several other ideas were suggested.
