This study compares and analyzes the Donghak Peasant Revolution and the Boxer Rebellion, which are peasant movements in Korea and China in the late 19th century, by dividing them into internal strengths and weaknesses, and external opportunities and threats. The Donghak Peasant Revolution and the Boxer Rebellion have something in common in the background of the revolution, solidarity with other classes, possibility of expansion of power, and response to external forces. On the other hand, there are differences in the existence of philosophical ideas and direct conflicts with external forces.
