The inscribing of "Chinese calligraphy" in 2009 and "Mongolian calligraphy" in 2013 as UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage served as an important opportunity to inform the world that the art of "calligraphy" is a very valuable heritage in human cultural history. Now, the Korean calligraphy community is trying to globalize our "Hangul Calligraphy.“ In this paper, we analyzed the characteristics and values of 'Chinese Calligraphy' and 'Mongolian Calligraphy' already inscribed. Efforts to inscribe each country and the current status of calligraphy development after inscription were examined. In particular, the current status of calligraphy education in China and Mongolia was examined in detail. In addition, the possibility of inscribing Korean calligraphy as a UNESCO heritage was reviewed. Korea's "Gungche" can emphasize that it has originality that distinguishes it from Chinese calligraphy and Mongolian calligraphy.
