유아 자녀를 둔 어머니의 성인애착과 심리적 안녕감의 관계: 인지적 정서조절전략의 매개효과

Adult Attachment and Psychological Well-Being among Mothers with Preschoolers: Mediation Effects of Cognitive Emotion Regulation Strategies

본 연구의 목적은 유아 자녀를 둔 어머니의 성인애착(불안애착, 회피애착)과 심리적 안녕감의 관계에 대한 어머니의 인지적 정서조절전략(적응적 전략, 부적응적 전략)의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이었다. 어머니 312명(평균 연령 36.65세)이 연구에 참여하였고, 온라인 질문지 조사를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 자료 분석에는 SPSS 25.0과 Process macro for SPSS 4.1(Hayes, 2022)의 model 4를 사용하였다. 자료를 분석한 결과, 어머니의 불안애착과 회피애착 모두 심리적 안녕감과 유의미한부적 관계를 나타내었고 각 관계는 적응적 인지적 정서조절전략과 부적응적 인지적 정서조절전략 각각에 의해 부분매개 되는 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 어머니의 성인애착이 어머니의 심리적 안녕감에 영향을 미치는데 그 과정에 어머니의 인지적 정서조절전략이 일부 관여한다는 것을 의미한다. 또한 자녀양육방식과 자녀의 발달에 영향을 미치는 어머니의 심리적 안녕감을 증진하기 위하여 어머니의 적응적 및 부적응적 인지적 정서조절전략에 관심을 가질 필요가 있다는 것을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether or not the relationship between mothers’ adult attachment (anxious and avoidant) and psychological well-being is medi-ated by cognitive emotion regulation strategies (adaptive and maladaptive). Three hun-dred and twelve mothers (mean age = 36.65 years old) participated in the study via an on-line survey. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and Process macro for SPSS (Hayes, 2022). Descriptive statistics and Pearson’s product correlation coefficients were obtained, and tests of the mediation effects were performed by model 4 of Process macro for SPSS. As for mediation effects, both adaptive and maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies were found to partially mediate the relationship between mothers’ adult at-tachment and psychological well-being. These findings indicate that supporting mothers of insecure adult attachment (anxious or avoidant) to use adaptive cognitive emotion reg-ulation strategies might enhance their psychological well-being which is related to pos-itive parenting.
