간호대학생의 성격유형과 비판적 사고성향 및 학업 스트레스가 전공만족도에 미치는 영향

The Effects of MBTI, Critical Thinking Disposition and Academic Stress on Major Satisfaction of Nursing Students

This study investigated the effects of the personality type, critical thinking disposition and academic stress on major satisfaction of nursing students. Subjects were 112 students in the department of nursing in Jinju. city, Gyeongsangnam-do, from May 2th to August 31th, 2023 and were surveyed by a self-report questionnaire. Data analysis was performed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression using the SPSS WIN 23.0 program. Result indicated that major satisfaction of nursing students was positively correlated with critical thinking disposition (r=0.473, p<0.001) and negatively correlated with academic stress (r=-0.651, p<0.001). Factors influencing the level of academic stress (β=-0.54, p<0.001), critical thinking disposition (β=0.26, p=0.001), which together explained 53.2% of the total variance in major satisfaction. Therefore, in order to increase the major satisfaction of nursing students, it is suggested that a nursing education environment and intervention program should be prepared to improve critical thinking disposition and reduce academic stress.
