knowledge about tuberculosis, clinical reasoning competency, clinical performance, and satisfaction on nursing students. This study used a nonequivalent control group posttest design. The study participants included 54 nursing students(27 in the intervention group and 27 in the control group) from K city. Data were analyzed χ²-test, Fisher’s exact test, and t-test. The level of nursing knowledge (t=-7.920, p<0.001), clinical judgment ability (t=-5.063, p<0.001), and clinical performance ability (t=-2.326, p<0.001), and learning satisfaction (t=-4.850, p<0.001) were significantly higher than that of the control group. The nursing simulation-based education for tuberculosis patient-care is more effective than the classic education of increasing students’ knowledge, clinical reasoning competence, clinical competence, and satisfaction. Therefore, it is necessary to develop various simulation-based learning module and apply to the nursing curriculum for improving the clinical reasoning competency, clinical competency for nursing students.
