Development and Validation of the Agency Scale for College Students

연구목적: 본 연구는 대학생 주체성 척도의 개발과 타당화 하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 척도 개발을 위해 문항 개발, 내용 타당성 검증 및 예비 조사 단계를 수행하였다. 연구방법: 내용 타당 성은 전문가 자문을 통해 평가되었으며, 예비조사는 서울·경기 수도권과 부산·경상권 지역에 거주하는 501명의 대학생을 대상으로 진행되었다. 준거 기반 타당도 검증을 위해 SPSS (25.0 ver.)과 Amos (22.0 ver.) 활용하여 대학생 440명의 최종 자료로 확인적 요인 분석을 수행하였으며, 상관분석, 동시타당성 및 신뢰성 검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과: 주체성 척도는 자율성, 책임성 및 역량이라는 구성 요소에 각 하위요인을 포함하는 2차 구조로 나타났다. 최종 24개 문항으로 구성된 주체성 척도의 신뢰도는 .929로 수준으로 나타났고, 자율성 .884, 책임 .881, 역량 .835로 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 본 연구는 대학생 주체성의 척도를 개발하고, 대학생 주체성을 측정할 수 있는 신뢰롭고 타당한 척도라는 점에서 연구의 의의를 가진다.

Purpose: This study aimed to develop and validate a scale of college student agency. The development plan, item development, validation, and pilot survey were conducted to develop and validate the scale. Method: Professionals’ review for the content validity was performed for the scale development. The pilot survey was conducted with 501 college students in Seoul, Busan, Gyeonggi, and Gyeongsang areas with 24 items to validate for the validation. The confirmatory factor analysis was performed with a total of 440 college students’ data. For the criterion-based validation, SPSS (25.0) AMOS (22.0) were used for the correlation, as well as concurrent validity and reliability. Results: The agency scale was identified as a second-order model including construct factors: autonomy, responsibility, and capabilities. The result of the reliability for the final 24 items was overall .929, autonomy .884, responsibility .881, and capabilities .835. Conclusion: The study contributes that the college student agency scale was developed, which has its uniqueness in terms of a reliable and valid scale measuring the university student agency.
