교육실습학기제 도입에 대한 유치원 교사의 인식과 요구

Kindergarten Teachers' Perceptions and Demands Regarding the Introduction of the Teaching Practicum Semester System

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 유아교육에서 교육실습학기제 시행의 방향성을 모색하기 위하여 교육실습학기제 도입에 대한 유치원 교사의 인식과 요구를 살펴보는 것이다. 연구방법: 이를 위하여 목적적 표집으로 교육실습 지도 경험이 있는 공·사립 유치원 교사 8명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였다. 반구조화된 면담지를 사용하여 개별 심층면담을 실시하고, 반복적 자료 읽기, 1차 코딩, 귀납적 범주 분석, 도출된 범주 간 비교·대조의 과정을 통해 수집된 자료를 분석하였다. 이후 동료 검토 및 연구 참여자 검토를 통해 연구결과의 타당성을 확보하였다. 연구결과: 교사들의 개별 심층면담 분석 결과, 유아교육에서 실습학기제의 적절성, 실습학기제의 운영방식(실습시기, 실습학기제의 대학 수업 운영방안, 실습학교와 지도교사 배정, 실습결과 활용), 교육실습 관련 주체의 역할과 협력, 실습학기제를 위한 지원의 네 가지 범주에서 교사들의 의견이 도출되었다. 논의 및 결론: 도출된 연구 결과를 중심으로 교육실습학기제 도입 및 운영과 관련된 쟁점을 파악하여 논의하였으며, 유아교육에서 교육실습학기제 도입 시 고려해야 할 시사점을 도출하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the perceptions and demands of kindergarten teachers regarding the introduction of a teaching practicum semester system in order to explore the direction of implementing the practicum in early childhood education. Method: Eight public and private kindergarten teachers with experience in supervising students during the practicum period were selected as participants by purposive sampling. Individual in-depth interviews were conducted using a semi-structured questionnaire, and the data collected were analyzed through repeated reading, primary coding, inductive category analysis, and comparison and contrast between the categories identified. Peer review and participant review were conducted to ensure the validity of the findings. Results: Based on the analysis of individual in-depth interviews, teachers' opinions were derived in four categories: the appropriateness of the practicum semester system in early childhood education, the operation of the practicum semester(the timing of the practicum, the operation of university classes in the practicum semester, the assignment of practicum schools and supervisors, and the use of practicum results), the role and cooperation of actors involved in educational practice, and the support for the practicum semester. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, issues related to the introduction and operation of the teaching practicum semester system were identified and discussed, and implications were drawn that should be considered when introducing the teaching practicum semester system in early childhood education.
