지체장애학생의 우울감이 자아존중감에 미치는 영향: 가족관계만족도의 매개효과를 중심으로

The Effect of Depression on Self-Esteem of Students with Physical Disabilities: Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Satisfaction with Family Relationships

연구목적: 본 연구는 지체장애학생의 우울감이 자아존중감에 미치는 영향에서 가족관계만족도의 매개효과를 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 한국장애인개발 원에서 실시한 장애인삶 패널조사 자료 중 지체장애학생 107명의 응답을 추출하여 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 지체장애학생의 우울감, 자아존중감, 가족관계만족도의 수준은 긍정적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지체장애학생의 우울감은 자아존중감과 가족관계만족도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이 때 지체장애학생의 우울감이 자아존중감에 미치는 영향에서 가족관계 만족도는 유의미한 부분매개효과룰 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 논의 및 결론: 연구 결과를 바탕으로 지체장애학생의 우울감을 감소시키고 자아존중감을 향상시킬 수 있는 효과적인 전략의 하나로 가족관계만족도 증진 방안을 제시하였다.

Purpose: This study sought to explore the mediating effect of family relationship satisfaction in the effect of depression on self-esteem in students with physical disabilities. Method: To achieve the purpose of the study, the responses of 107 students with physical disabilities were extracted and analyzed from the panel survey data on life of individuals with disabilities conducted by KODDI. Results: First, the levels of depression, self-esteem, and family relationship satisfaction of students with physical disabilities were found to be positive. Second, depression in students with physical disabilities was found to have a significant impact on self-esteem and satisfaction with family relationships. At this time, it was confirmed that family relationship satisfaction had a significant partial mediating effect on the effect of depression on self-esteem of students with physical disabilities. Conclusion: Based on the research results, effective strategies to improve family relationship satisfaction were suggested to reduce depression and improve self-esteem in students with physical disabilities.
