석유 코크스 기반 합성가스 내 COS 제거용 가수분해 촉매 성능평가

Sulfur species has attracted more attention due to its negative effects on the environmental and economy in gasification of carbonaceous materials. And its removal from syngas for supplying the other process such as gas turbine, fuel cell, and chemical process is one of the challenging issues in the desulfurization technologies scenario. The sulfur species in syngas generated from gasification has the form of carbonyl sulfide (COS) and hydrogen sulfide (H~) mostly. The proposed syngas desulfurization process were included COS hydrolysis and wet H2S oxidation system. The catalytic hydrolysis of COS has been considered an economic way for converting COS into H2S that can be removed easier than COS. ln this study, the catalytic performance of alumina based commercial materials was investigated for the pilot and demo plant application.
