In terms of the narrative construction method of Baek Hee-na's picture book, The Bath Fairy, it is to reveal the aesthetic value by deeply analyzing the impulsiveness before expression rooted under the surface of the picture book text. Method : As a directed content analysis, this study borrows Julia Kristeva's text analysis method. First, Julia Kristeva's 'Abjection'-related literature is taken as the primary research material, and related preceding studies, publications, and critical data are explored as auxiliary texts. Based on this, it is analyzed in connection with the characteristics of Baekhee and her picture book, The Bath Fairy. Results : Baek Heena's picture book, The Bath Fairy utilizes the tale of 'The Fairy and the Woodcutter' as the underlying text, constructs a parodic genre, and secures the fantasy of the text. The old fairy and the young girl's bathhouse play reveals the issues of equality between the two beings and hospitality to others. Also, this picture book subverts the myth as a sexual object by directly revealing the female body, which is not often dealt with in children's literature. Conclusion : Therefore, The Bath Fairy contains a generative text that reveals Kristeva's 'abjection', and this this became a mechanism to promote reading behavior for various readers.
