공동체의식과 공감능력 향상을 위한 스토리텔링기반 공감교육 프로그램 개발: 예비교사를 중심으로

A study on development of a storytelling-based empathy education program to improve community spirit and empathy: Focusing on preservice teachers

본 연구는 예비교사들의 공동체의식과 공감능력 향상을 위한 스토리텔링기반 공감교육 프로그램을 개발하고 교육현장에 적용한 후, 그 효과를 살펴보는 것이다. 수집된 자료는 설문지, 성찰일지, 인터뷰 자료 등이며, 프로그램을 개발하기 위하여 문헌 및 사례분석, 전문가 검토를 하였다. 또한, 공동체의식과 공감능력에 대한 사전․사후검사 결과의 차이를 확인하기 위하여 대응표본 t검정을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 공동체의식과 공감능력 향상을 위한 스토리텔링기반 공감교육 프로그램이 개발되었다. 둘째, 예비교사들의 공동체의식과 공감능력은 사전․사후검사 결과에서 유의미한 차이를 보여 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 대학의 교원양성과정에서는 교직교과 뿐만 아니라, 다양한 전공 교과와 비교과, 교양교육 등 다양한 학문영역에서 스토리텔링기반 공감교육 프로그램의 운영을 제언하였다.

This study develops a storytelling-based empathy education program to improve community spirit and empathy and examines its effectiveness by applying it to prospective teachers. The collected data included questionnaires, reflection diaries, interview data, literature and case analysis were conducted to develop the program. In addition, a paired-sample t-test was conducted to confirm pre- and post-differences in sense of community and empathy. As a result of the study, first, a storytelling-based empathy education program was developed to improve community spirit and empathy ability. Second, the sense of community and empathy of prospective teachers showed a significant difference in the pre- and post-test, showing a positive effects. Therefore, this study suggests that a storytelling-based empathy education program to improve prospective teachers' sense of community and empathy can be effectively used in universities. Therefore, it was proposed to operate a storytelling-based empathy education program not only in the teaching subjects of university teacher training courses, but also in various academic areas such as various major subjects, non-curriculum subjects, and liberal arts education.
