집단미술치료가 장애아의 사회성에 미치는 효과에 대한 메타분석

Meta-analysis on the Effects of Group Art Therapy for the Sociality Development of Children with Disabilities

본 연구는 국내에서 수행된 장애아의 사회성과 관련된 집단미술치료 효과성을 알아보기 위해 2010년부터 2023년까지 국내에서 발행된 사회성 증진을 위한 장애아 대상 집단미술치료 논문, 학술지 17편을 메타분석하여 일반적인 특성과 전체효과크기, 종속변인, 조절변인에 효과크기를 검증하였다. 연구결과로 첫째, 연구의 일반적 특성을 조사한 결과, 2018년 이후로는 연구가 이루어지지 않았는데, 이는 장기화 된 COVID-19 사태로 인해 더이상 연구가 진행되지 못한 것으로 보여 진다. 또한 장애아 가운데서도 주로 지적장애를 대상으로 한 연구가 이루어졌으며, 집단크기는 10명 초과- 20명 미만, 회기시간은 1시간-1시간 30분, 회기 수는 10회기-15회기가 가장 많았다. 둘째, 전체 효과크기는 1.765로 높은 효과 크기를 나타냈으며, 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 종속변인에 대한 효과크기 차이는 모두 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 조절변인별 효과크기는 장애유형별 효과크기, 집단크기별 효과크기, 회기 수에 있어서 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 집단미술치료가 장애아의 사회성에 미치는 효과에 대한 결과를 종합, 검증하였으며 결과에 따른 시사점을 논의하였다.

This study conducted a meta-analysis of 17 domestic papers published in South Korea from 2010 to 2023 to investigate the effectiveness of group art therapy related to the social skills of children with disabilities. The analysis verified the effect sizes concerning general characteristics, overall effect size, dependent variables, and moderator variables. The research findings revealed several key points. Firstly, the investigation into the general characteristics of the studies showed that there was none of the research conducted since 2018, likely due to the prolonged impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, studies primarily targeted children with intellectual disabilities, with group sizes ranging from over 10 to under 20, session durations between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes, and the most common number of sessions being 10 to 15. Secondly, the overall effect size was notably high at 1.765, indicating statistical significance. Thirdly, differences in effect sizes for dependent variables were all statistically significant. Fourthly, moderator variable analyses statistically revealed meaningful differences in effect sizes based on disability type, group size, and number of sessions. Based on these results, the study comprehensively verified how the group art therapy affected their sociality development and discussed the implications derived from the findings.
