국내 디지털 교과서 특성과 이용 만족도와의 관계 연구: 중학생을 중심으로

The Relationship between Digital Textbook Composition Factors and Usage Satisfaction: Focusing on Middle School Students

본 연구는 디지털 교육 체계로의 전환과 관련된 새로운 교육 패러다임을 현실화시킬 교재로디지털 교과서에 주목하고 학습자 입장에서 현행 디지털 교과서를 어떻게 인식하고 있는지살펴보고자 했다. 특히 중학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 그들의 인식을 알아보았다. 연구결과, 디지털 교과서 특성은 5가지로 분류할 수 있으며, ‘사용 용이성’, ‘사용 효용성’, ‘시스템 품질성’, ‘콘텐츠 신뢰성’, ‘상호 작용성’ 등 이다. 디지털 교과서 특성에 대한 성별에 따른차이 검증 결과에서 ‘시스템 품질성’요인과 ‘콘텐츠 신뢰성’요인에 대해 여학생이 남학생보다더 긍정적으로 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 학년별 차이 검증 결과, ‘사용 효용성’요인에 대해 3학년 학생들이 2학년 학생들보다 긍정적으로 인식하고 있었다. 더불어 성별, 학년별디지털 교과서의 만족도에 대한 인식 차이 정도를 알아본 결과, 통계적으로는 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 마지막으로 디지털 교과서 특성과 만족도와의 관계에서는 ‘사용 효용성’과‘시스템 품질성’, ‘상호작용성’이 디지털 교과서 만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 디지털 교과서가 적극적으로 활용되기 위해서는 학습자들의 평가가 무엇보다 중요하며, 디지털세대가 만족할 수 있도록 지속적인 변화가 요구된다.

Considering that increasing attention is being paid to digital textbooks to realize a new educational paradigm, this study attempted to examine how learners perceive digital textbooks. Specifically, middle school students were surveyed. The results indicate that digital textbook characteristics can be classified into five categories: “ease of use,” “utility of use,” “system quality,” “content reliability,” and “interaction.” After gender difference verification, it was found that female students perceived “system quality” and “content reliability” more positively than male students. Difference verification by grade indicated that 3rd graders perceived the “utility of use” factor more positively than 2nd graders. An examination of the degree of difference in perception of digital textbook satisfaction by gender and grade showed no statistically significant difference. Finally, in the relationship between digital textbook characteristics and satisfaction, it was found that “utility of use,” “system quality,” and “interaction” affected digital textbook satisfaction. For digital textbooks to be actively utilized in frontline education, learners' evaluation is paramount, and a virtuous cycle is required to develop digital textbooks suitable for the digital generation.
