The relationship between children’s perception of maternal parenting behavior and ADHD tendency of children

The purpose of this study was to explore the relative influence of children’s sex, economic status, maternal parenting behavior, and child's ADHD tendency. For this purpose, 253 students, 4th~6th grade of elementary school, in Gwangju, were used. For the data analysis, Pearson`s correlation coefficients, and hierarchical regression were used. The results were as follows: First, as a result of analyzing the correlation all variables had a significant relationship. Second, maternal parenting behavior, rational guidance, was influenced attention. Also maternal parenting behavior, authoritarian control and overprotection, was influenced hyperactivity and impulsiveness
