Purpose: This study explored factors that influence happiness in nursing students. Methods: Data were collected from 205 nursing students at a university in Seoul using self-administered questionnaires. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression with the SPSS Win 29.0. Results: Happiness was positively correlated with self-esteem (r=.79, p <.001), resilience (r=.81, p <.001) and negatively correlated with perceived stress (r=−.67, p <.001). Factors that had an influence on happiness included resilience ( β=.41, p <.001), self-esteem ( β=.34, p <.001), perceived stress ( β=−.17, p <.001), subjective health status ( β=.10, p =.012). These factors explained 77.3% of the variance in nursing student happiness. Conclusion: The study shows resilience, self-esteem, perceived stress and subjective health status are important factors for happiness in nursing students. These findings can be utilized to develop strategies for increasing nursing students’ happiness.
