사립유치원 경력교사에서 공립유치원 방과후 과정 교사가 되기까지의 경험에 관한 사례연구

Case Study on the Experience of Becoming a Public Kindergarten After-school Teacher from a Private Kindergarten Experience Teacher

본 연구는 사립유치원 경력교사에서 공립유치원 방과후 과정 교사가 되기까지의 경험을 알아봄으로써 그들의 삶을 이해하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 사립유치원에서 5년 이상 근무하고 현재 공립유치원 방과후 과정 교사로 근무하는 3인의 연구참여자를 선정하여 2020년 11월 한 달간 Zoom을 통해 1:1 심층 면담을 진행하였다. 자료분석을 위해 수집된 모든 자료를 에믹코딩, 구조코딩하여 질적연구 전문가 1인, 유아교육과 교수 1인, 유아교육 현장 전문가 1인으로 구성된 동료 집단에 의해 분석되었다. 연구 결과 사립유치원 경력교사의 경험에서 ‘꿈꾸기 힘든 워라밸’, ‘불안정한 미래’, ‘물적·인적 자원 부족’ 이직과 퇴직 과정의 경험에서 ‘무기력한 현실’, ‘재취업의 불안감’ ,‘임용고시에 대한 대안’ 공립유치원 방과후 과정 교사의 경험에서 ‘교사 권리 회복’, ‘만족스러운 워라밸’ ,‘풍족한 물적·인적 자원’, ‘낮아진 급여’라는 핵심 범주를 도출하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 연구참여자들이 사립유치원에서 경력교사로 근무하며 겪었던 어려움을 해소하기 위해 공립유치원 방과후 과정 교사로 이직하는 과정에서의 경험을 시간의 흐름에 따라 알아보며, 이들의 삶을 이해할 수 있었다. 또한 그 과정에서 유치원 교사를 위한 다양한 제도적 시사점을 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to understand their lives by examining their experiences from experienced teachers in private kindergartens to becoming after-school teachers in public kindergartens. To this end, three research participants who have worked in private kindergartens for more than five years and are currently working as teachers in public kindergartens' after-school courses were selected, and one-on-one in-depth interviews were conducted through Zoom for a month in November 2020. As a result, key categories were derived from the experiences of experienced teachers in private kindergartens, such as ‘work-life balance that is difficult to dream', ‘an unstable future', ‘lack of physical and human resources', ‘alternative to employment examinations', and ‘restoration of teacher rights', ‘satisfactory work-life balance', ‘enrichment of material and human resources', and ‘low salary' from the experiences of teachers in the after-school process of public kindergartens. In conclusion, this study was able to understand the lives of research participants by examining their experiences in the process of changing to after-school teachers in public kindergartens in order to solve the difficulties they encountered while working as career teachers in private kindergartens.
