구성주의 유아교육학회지 수록논문 동향 연구

Research Trends in Papers Published in Constructivist Early Childhood Education Journals

본 연구는 그동안 구성주의 유아교육학회지에 수록된 논문 동향을 알아보고 앞으로의 구성주의 유아교육연구의 나아갈 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 2014년 처음 발간된「구성주의유아교육연구」제1권 1호부터 가장 최근에 발간된 제10권 2호까지 총 15권의 학회지에 수록된 논문 78편 가운데 유아교육과 직접적인 관련이 없는 1편을 제외한 논문 77편을 연구연도, 연구대상, 연구유형, 연구주제, 연구자에 따라 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 2014년 3편의 논문이 수록된 것을 시작으로, 2019년도에 연 2회 발간과 함께 논문 수가 급증한 이래 꾸준한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 둘째, 연구유형은 ‘양적연구’, ‘질적연구’, ‘문헌연구’, ‘프로그램 개발 및 효과’, ‘혼합연구’ 순으로 나타났다. 양적연구의 경우 ‘조사연구’(질문지법, 면접법)가, 질적연구의 경우 ‘심층면담을 포함한 사례연구’가 가장 많았고 질적연구가 증가하는 추세이며 혼합연구는 소수였다. 셋째, 연구대상은 ‘교사’, ‘영유아’, ‘문헌’, ‘다중대상’, ‘부모’ 순으로 나타났다. 넷째, 연구주제는 ‘교사’와 ‘교수학습’ 관련 연구가 가장 많았고 ‘발달’ 관련 연구도 활발했으나 ‘교육환경’, ‘부모’, ‘프로그램 개발 및 효과’ 관련 연구는 소수였다. 다섯째, 구성주의 유아교육학회지에 수록된 논문의 연구자 수는 2인 이상의 공동연구가 단독연구보다 두 배 이상 많았으며, 논문에 참여한 공동연구자 인원을 환산한 결과 총 146명의 연구자가 참여하였다. 연구자 구성은 교수, 교수와 교사, 교수와 대학원생으로 대부분의 연구자들은 대학 및 유아교육기관에 소속되어 교육현장을 바탕으로한 실천적 공동연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있었다. 본 연구는「구성주의유아교육연구」발간 10주년을 맞이하며 2023년 12월 8일 한국연구재단 등재학술지로 선정되어 학회의 학문적 도약을 기대할 수 있는 시점에, 그동안「구성주의유아교육연구」에 수록된 논문의 동향을 살펴봄으로 구성주의 유아교육 분야의 나아갈 방향을 제시했다는데 그 의의가 있다.

This study aimed to determine the trends of papers in the constructivist early childhood education journals and to suggest directions for future research. To this end, 77 papers in 15 academic journals from 2014 to today were selected and analyzed. It was found that starting with three papers in 2014, research has been conducted steadily, with a rapid increase in publications in 2019. Second, there were many quantitative and qualitative studies but little mixed-methods research. Third, the research subjects included many “teachers” and “early childhood,” but few studies included “multiple targets” and “parents”. Fourth, the most common research topics were “teacher”, “teaching and learning” and “early childhood” in decreasing order, while few papers studied “the educational environment”, “parents” or “program development and effectiveness”. Fifth, the 146 researchers who authored the papers worked in universities, daycare centers, and kindergartens; many were “professors” and “professors and teachers” and there were many cooperative studies that applied theory and practice based on the educational field. This study is significant in identifying research directions in the field of constructivist early childhood education by examining the trends in papers on constructivist early childhood education published in the last 10 years.
