The purpose of this study to review the research literature on the use of technology in intervention programs for children with aggressive behavior and to explore its applicability. For this purpose, this study reviewed the relevant literature over the last decade focusing on researchers, publication status, research topics, intervention content, measurement methods, outcomes, methods of using VR/AR, device types, and their clinical applications. As a result, 6 articles published since 2019 were identified, the majority of which were pilot studies without a control group, suggesting that the use of VR/AR technology for aggressive behavior intervention is at an early stage. Furthermore, VR/AR technology was found to be an effective tool for assessing and improving aggressive behavior in children. Clinically, was found to be particularly useful for eliciting children's emotional responses and enhancing their motivation to participate. Based on these findings, three potential applications suggested: creating a safe environment for practicing emotional regulation through interactions with virtual avatars, providing opportunities for experiential learning to reduce aggressive behavior and to facilitate alternative behaviors in settings that mimic the real world, and enhancing children's motivation to participate in interventions for aggressive behavior.
