발달장애인의 성에 대한 장애인복지종사자들의 인식유형과 성교육의 방향

The Perception Types of Social Workers on the Sexuality of People with Developmental Disabilities

이 연구의 목적은 발달장애인의 성에 대한 장애인복지종사자들의 주관적 인식을 파악하고, 이를 토대로 발달장애인의 성교육을 위한 지원방안을 마련하는데 기초자료를 확보하는 것이다. 발달장애인의 성과 관련된 33개의 진술문을 가지고 장애인복지종사자 30명을 대상으로 Q 분류를 하게 하였다. Q 요인분석 결과 인식 유형은 세 가지로 나타났다. 첫째, “성적 권리 존중–성교육 개별화형”은 발달장애인은 성적 자기결정권 행사가 가능하며 그것은 존중받아야 한다고 인식한다. 둘째, “제한적 성적 권리 인정–주변인 성교육 확대형”은 발달장애인은 성적 권리를 행사하는데 불안한 존재로 인식한다. 셋째, “성적 권리 현실적 불인정–당사자 성교육 확대형”은 발달장애인의 성적 권리의 중요성에 대해서는 인식하고 있으나 권리를 행사하는 것에 부정적이다. 연구결과와 함의를 토대로 발달장애인의 성적 권리보장을 위한 사회의 인식 개선, 발달장애인의 성교육 지원체계 마련, 성적권리와 주체성을 존중하는 교육의 필요성에 대해 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the subjective perceptions of social workers on the sexuality of people with developmental disabilities and to secure basic data based on this to prepare support measures to improve the sexual rights of people with developmental disabilities. Thirty-three statements related to the Sexuality of people with developmental disabilities were made to Q-classify 30 social workers. As a result of the Q factor analysis, there were three types of perception. First, "Respect for Sexual Rights-Individualization of Sex Education" perceives that people with developmental disabilities can exercise their right to sexual self-determination and should be respected. Second, "sexual rights restriction-sex education expansion type" perceives people with developmental disabilities as anxious beings who cannot exercise their rights to sex. The third type, "Reality Disapproval of Sexual Rights-Pursuing for Improving Sexual Rights", perceives the importance of sexual rights of people with developmental disabilities, but is negative about exercising their rights. Based on the research results and implications, it suggested the necessity of improving society's awareness to guarantee the sexual rights of people with developmental disabilities, establishing a support system for sexual education for people with developmental disabilities, and education that respects Sexuality and subjectivity.
