아버지의 온라인 양육참여와 부모역할만족도 간 관계

The relationship between fathers’ online involvement and parental satisfaction

본 연구의 목적은 영유아기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 온라인 양육참여와 부모역할만족도의 수준 및 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 경기도에 소재한 어린이집 학부모 중 아버지 438명이며, 연구대상의 특성과 각 변인 간 관계 파악을 위해 기술통계, 상관분석, 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 아버지의 온라인 양육참여도는 보통 수준이었다. 온라인 양육참여의 하위요인 중 ‘자녀양육의 책임감 공유’와 ‘자녀와의 여가생활’이 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 하위문항을 살펴보면, 배우자와 자녀 사진, 동영상을 공유하며 자녀 발달 등에 대해 이야기 나누기, 자녀와 함께 문화생활을 하기 위해 공연정보, 티켓예매 등 알아보기, 자녀와 함께 위락시설을 가기 위해 홈페이지에서 이용정보 등 확인하기, 자녀에게 필요한 교육 용품 구매하기 등의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 그리고 아버지의 부모역할만족도는 약간 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아버지 의 온라인 양육참여와 부모역할만족도 간에는 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 아버지의 온라인 양육참여는 부모역할만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났다. 본 연구는 테크놀로지가 생활 전반에 활용되는 현대사회 아버지의 온라인 양육참여의 실태와 그 가치를 밝혔다. 특히 본 결과에서 아버지가 온라인을 통해 자녀에게 주도적으로 역할하기보다 배우자와의 소통에 더 활발하다는 점은 이들이 능동적인 양육자가 될 수 있도록 돕는 아버지 지원 정책 마련에 시사점을 주리라 기대한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between fathers' online involvement and parental satisfaction. The subjects of this study were 438 fathers among parents of daycare centers located in Gyeonggi-do. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted to understand the characteristics of the study subjects and the relationship between each variable. The results of this study were as follows. First, the level of the father's online involvement was at a medium level. Among the sub-factors of online involvement, ‘sharing responsibility for child-rearing’ and ‘leisure time with children’ were relatively high. And the father's parental satisfaction was found to be at a slightly high level. According to the results of the sub-question, it was high in the order of sharing photos and videos of children with spouses, discussing children's development, finding out performance information and ticket reservations to live a cultural life with children, checking usage information on the website to go to amusement facilities with children, and purchasing educational supplies necessary for children. Second, there was a positive correlation between father's online involvement and parental satisfaction, and father's online involvement was found to have a significant impact on parental role satisfaction. This study revealed the reality and value of fathers' online parenting participation in modern society where technology is used in all aspects of life. In particular, the results show that fathers are more active in communicating with their spouses than taking a leading role with their children online, which is expected to have implications for establishing father support policies to help them become active caregivers.
