본 연구는 지속가능한 사회를 위해 인간과 자연이 더불어 살아가는 데 필요한 역량을 함양하기 위한 목적으로 개발되었다. 이를 위해 선행연구 및 문헌 고찰, 유치원 교사의 인식, 실태 및 요구 조사, 심층 면담, 전문가 내용타당도 검증, 현장 적용의 타당성 검증 단계를 거쳐 ｢지속가능발전교육(ESD)에 기반 한 유아 텃밭활동 프로그램｣활동 시안이 개발되었다. 최종으로 확정된 ｢지속가능발전교육(ESD)에 기반한 유아 텃밭활동 프로그램｣은 지속가능발전교육이 효과적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 개발되었으며 다음과 같은 점에서 가치가 있다. 첫째, 지속가능발전의 4가지 핵심 가치인 인권 존중, 미래 세대 존중, 문화적 다양성 존중, 생태적 다양성 존중을 프로그램 개발에 반영하였다. 둘째, UN이 정한 지속가능발전목표(Sustainable Development Goals: SDGs)를 회기별 교육내용 구성 시 반영하였다. 셋째, 교수-학습 방법을 교수-학습 단계와 교수-방법으로 나누어 15차시로 구성되었다. 넷째, 프로그램 개발 이후에는 유아 평가 및 교사 평가를 통해 현장 적용성과 내용 타당성을 검증받았다는 점이다.
This study was conducted to foster the essential capacities for coexistence between humans and nature, in order to achieve sustainable development. The “Children's Garden Activity Program Based on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)” was implemented following prior research and literature review, early childhood teachers' perception, actual status and needs survey, in-depth interviews, expert content validity verification, and field application feasibility verification stages. A preliminary version was created. The finalized “Children's Garden Activity Program Based on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)” was designed to efficiently integrate Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and holds significance in the following aspects. The educational content for each session was developed in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations. Thirdly, the teaching-learning approach was segmented into teaching-learning phases and teaching methods, encompassing a total of 15 sessions.
