Rasch 평정척도모형을 활용한 장인성 측정 도구의 단축형 개발 및 타당화 연구

Development of a Shorter Version of the Masterity Scale Using Rasch Analysis

장인성 측정 도구는 현대 장인의 특성을 4가지의 측면으로 구분하여 개발되었으며, 장인적 학습 17문항, 장인적 일하기 24문항, 장인적 성취 19문항, 장인적 영향력 19문항으로 구성된 자기 보고형 설문이다. 장인성 척도는 주로 문헌 연구나 질적연구에서 논의되던 현대적 장인과 장인성 개념을 정량적으로 분석할 수 있게 해주었지만, 다소 많은 문항과 측정 도구별 중복되는 내용 등으로 인해 학술 연구와 일터 현장에서 활용하기에 제한점이 있었다. 이에, 이 연구에서는 문항반응이론에 기반한 Rasch 모형을 적용하여 측정 도구의 타당도를 재검증하고, 측정 도구의 객관적인 개선점을 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 직장인 1,527명을 대상으로 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 장인성 각 척도의 하위요인별로 Rasch 평정척도모형을 적용하였다. 분석 결과, 문항에 대한 응답 범주 수는 기존의 7개보다 6개가 적절한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 문항 적합도 및 곤란도 분석을 바탕으로 장인적 학습 16문항, 장인적 일하기 17문항, 장인적 성취 15문항, 장인적 영향력 14문항, 총 62문항으로 구성된 단축형 척도를 구성하였다. 연구 결과를 토대로 장인성 단축형 척도의 의의 및 시사점과 연구의 제한점을 논의하였다.

The Masterity Scale is a self-report scale with 83 items consisting of masteristic learning, masteristic work, masteristic achievement and masteristic influence. The Masterity Scale provides an objective and quantitative analysis of the concepts of master and masterity that have hitherto been examined primarily in qualitative research. It also provides a comprehensive measure of an important aspect of work and learning from multiple perspectives. However, the original scale is quite long, which limits its use in combination with other instruments and may reduce participants’ response rate and accuracy. In this study, we applied the Rasch model, based on item response theory, to develop a shortened version of the Masterity Scale and to test its validity. For this purpose, the Rasch scale model was applied to each subfactor of the masterity scale based on data collected from 1,527 employees. Based on the item fit and item difficulty analysis, we constructed an abbreviated version of the scale consisting of 16 items for masteristic learning, 17 items for masteristic work, 15 items for masteristic achievement, and 14 items for masteristic influence, for a total of 62 items. Finally, we discuss the significance of the shortened version of the Masterity Scale and the limitations of the study.
