Preliminary Research for Standardization of School Readiness Screening Test

본 연구는 취학 시기 아동의 학교 준비도 상황을 종합적으로 파악해 볼 수 있는 표준화검사를 개발하기 위한 예비조사를 실시하고, 통계분석 결과에 근거하여 본조사 문항을 선정하는데 목적이 있다. 학교준비도 검사 예비조사지는 교사용 개인내 준비, 사회·정서 준비, 집단적응 준비 3개 영역, 총 49개 문항이고, 부모용은 가정지원영역을 추가하여 4개 영역 총 77개 문항으로 구성하였다. 경기도 소재 2개 기관에서 표집 된 만 5세 자녀를 둔 학부모 100명, 만 5세 반 담임교사 99명을 대상으로 검사 문항의 양호도, 신뢰도, 영역간 상관계수를 검증하였다. 통계분석결과 타당도는 .303∼.960, 신뢰도는 .672∼.924범위로 나타났다. 본 학교준비도검사는 학교준비에 필요한 요소를 반영하여 개발하였으므로 한국아동에게 최적화된 검사이며, 유·아동 전문인력이 체계적으로 연구 절차와 표준화 과정을 거쳐 개발된 공신력 있는 학교준비도 검사로 사용될 것을 기대한다.

The purpose of this study was to conduct a preliminary survey to develop a standardized test that can comprehensively understand the school readiness of children at school age and to select questions for the main survey based on the results of statistical analysis. The preliminary survey for the school readiness test consists of a total of 49 questions in 3 areas for teachers: personal preparation, social relationship preparation, and group adaptation preparation, and for parents, a home support area was added for a total of 77 questions in 4 areas. The quality, reliability, and inter- domain correlation coefficient of the test items were verified for 100 parents of 5-year-old children and 99 homeroom teachers of 5-year-old classes sampled from two institutions in Gyeonggi-do. As a result of the statistical analysis, the validity ranged from .303 to .960 and the reliability ranged from .672 to .924. This school readiness test is an optimized test for Korean children because it was developed to reflect the elements necessary for school preparation. It will be a credible school readiness test developed by infant and young child experts through a systematic research and standardization process.
