MZ세대 남성의 자녀 양육 경험을 통한 정책 개선방안 탐색: 육아휴직 경험을 중심으로

Exploration of policy improvement measures through the experience of raising children of MZ-generation men: Focusing on the experience of parental leave

본 연구는 MZ세대 남성의 육아휴직 경험을 심도 있게 살펴보아 양육지원 정책의 정착 및 개 선방안을 탐색하여 관련 기초자료를 제공하기 위함이다. 이를 위해 2022-2023년 육아휴직 중이거나 육아휴직 경험이 있는 연구 참여자 5명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였다. 2023년 3월 부터 12월까지 개별 심층면담을 3회씩 진행하여 자료를 수집하였다. 인터뷰 자료는 질적 내 용분석 절차에 따라 분석되었다. 연구 결과 육아휴직을 통한 자녀 양육 경험으로는 ‘보람으로 가득 찬 육아휴직 기간’, ‘양육에서 가장 중요한 것은 편리함’, ‘SNS를 활용한 양육 정보 교 류’, ‘자기개발을 위한 또 다른 시간’으로 나타났다. 다음으로 연구 참여자들이 제시한 사회적 지원 요구는 ‘촘촘한 의료 체계 구축 마련 필요’, ‘양육자로서 소통창구 부재’, ‘남성 양육자의 돌봄 공간에 대한 요구’, ‘복직 후에 대한 불안함의 연속’, ‘가계 상황에 대한 부담감의 연속’ 으로 제시되었다. 도출된 연구 결과는 육아휴직제도를 경험한 MZ세대 남성들의 만족도와 현 황, 보완점을 제시하여 남성 육아휴직을 활성화할 수 있는 방안을 제언하였다. 또한 양육지원 관련 정책 및 서비스의 안정화와 고도화 도모를 위한 시사점 제공으로서 의의가 있다.

This study aims to provide foundational data by examining the experience of MZ generation men during parental leave in-depth and exploring ways to establish and improve parenting support policies. Five participants who were on parental leave or had experience in parental leave from 2022-2023 were selected. From March to December 2023, individual in-depth interviews were conducted three times each to collect data. Qualitative content analysis was employed to analyze interview data. As a result of the study, the experience of raising children during parental leave was noted as ‘a period of parental leave filled with treasure’, ‘the most important thing in parenting is convenience’, ‘exchanging parenting information utilizing SNS’, and, ‘extra time for selfdevelopment’. Additionally, the participants proposed the following demands ‘need to establish a dense medical system’, ‘absence of a communication channel as a caregiver’, ‘demand for a caring space for male caregivers’, ‘continuous of anxiety after reinstatement’, and ‘continuous of burden on household circumstances’. These research outcomes propose strategies to revitalize male parental leave by suggesting the satisfaction, status, and complementary points observed among MZ generation men who have undergone the parental leave system.
