다문화 음악교육을 위한 컵타 합주 교수 · 학습 방안 연구: 뱅크스의 다문화 교육이론을 바탕으로

A Study on the Cup percussion Ensemble Teaching and Learning Approach for Multicultural Music Education: Based on James Banks Multicultural Education Theory

본 연구는 뱅크스의 다문화 교육이론을 바탕으로 효과적인 다문화 음악교육을 위한 컵타 합주 교수 · 학습 방안 연구를 목적으로 한다. 본 연구에 부합하는 수업 지도안의 개발을 위해 상호작용의 매개체로 컵타를 선정하고, 문헌 분석 방법에 의해 뱅크스의 다문화 교육이론을 고찰하였다. 다문화에 대한 학문적 성취를 촉진하고 긍정적 태도로 발전시키기 위해 중학교 1학년을 대상으로 다문화 교육 체제 적용의 컵타 수업모형을 음악 교육과정을 적용해 컵타 수업모형으로 재구성하였다. 본 연구는 첫째, 컵타의 기악 활동은 특별한 음악적 경험을 학생들뿐만 아니라 교사에게 제공할 수 있는 연주 활동의 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 둘째, 컵타 합주를 통한 연습 과정에서 모둠별로 창작과 협동 학습에 연계되는 창의 체험 활동까지 확장할 수 있다. 셋째, 세계 민요를 제재곡으로 선정하여 컵타를 합주하는 활동을 통해 흥미 유발을 촉진하며 긍정적 상호작용의 매개체 역할을 할 수 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 다문화 음악교육을 통한 나라별 독특한 가치가 있는 문화적 배경을 알아가는 활동에 도움이 되며, 뱅크스가 주장하는 학교 교육의 다양성과 효과적인 대응 과제로 컵타 합주를 통한 다문화 음악교육의 개념, 원리, 이론, 실천에 대해 전문적으로 이해하는 연구가 되길 기대하는 바이다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate a teaching and learning approach with a cup percussion ensemble to provide an effective lesson in multicultural music education. To develop a lesson plan that achieved the study’s purpose, this study selected a cup percussion as a medium of interaction and this study examined the multicultural education theory porposed by James Banks. This study adapted the lesson model of the multicultural transformation approach in social studies suggested first-grade middle students music curriculum to help students increase their academic achievement and develop positive attitudes toward multiculturalism. Through this study, First, cup perussion instrumental activities can provide a special musical experience to teachers as well as students, and in the practice process through ensemble, it can be extended to creative experience activities linked to creative and cooperative learning for each group. Second, to promote understanding of cup percussion, this study discussed the definition of rhythm, looked into the concept and characteristics of cup percussion and how they use oral consonants, and analyzed the educational functions of cup percussion and included in middle school music textbooks. Third, Playing a cup song while singing folk songs from different countries promoted interest and positive interactions among the students. It is hoped that this study will help you learn about the cultural background of each country's unique value through multicultural music education, and will be a study to professionally understand the concept, principle, theory, and practice of multicultural music education through the Cup percussion ensemble as an effective response task.
